Services
Find a path forward that works for you.
Comprehensive initial assessments
Your first appointment is a safe and supportive space where we take time to get to know you—your story, your needs and your goals.
In this 60-minute assessment, we’ll talk through your mental health history, current challenges and what you’re hoping to get out of care. This helps us create a personalized plan that supports your healing, growth and identity.
Ongoing psychiatric care & medication management
These 30-minute follow-up sessions focus on checking in, seeing how you’re feeling and adjusting your treatment plan as needed.
We’ll talk about how your medications are working, go over any side effects or concerns and make changes that support your well-being and goals. These sessions are typically scheduled every 2 to 4 weeks.
Virtual Sessions
All of our sessions are currently offered virtually, providing you with flexible, convenient access to care from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
Whether you're at home, school, or work, you can connect securely with your provider through a confidential video platform—no commuting, no waiting rooms, just support when and where you need it.
Affirming care
Inclusive care means honoring who you are—your identity, your story, and your experiences. This is a space where you’re met with curiosity, compassion, and zero judgment. It’s about creating the kind of support that helps you feel grounded, understood, and free to be your true self
Payments & Insurance
At True Self Mental Health, we strive to make accessing care as straightforward as possible. Below is how we approach insurance and private pay across New Hampshire and Massachusetts:
Accepted Insurances (New Hampshire): Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield NH, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Quest Behavioral Health, Carelon Behavioral Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (Virtual Network), Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania (Virtual National Network), Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey (Virtual Network), Oxford (Optum), UnitedHealthcare (Optum), Oscar (Optum), Point32 Healthcare.
Accepted Insurances (Massachusetts): Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts*, Harvard Pilgrim Heathcare*, Point32 Healthcare*, United Healthcare (Optum)*, Oscar (Optum)*, Oxford (Optum)*, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island*, Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania (Virtual National Network)*, Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey (Virtual Network) *. (*= "in process" - see below).
Some of our insurance partnerships are currently in process. That means we are in the final stages of credentialing with those insurers and expect to be full accepted in the near future. If your plan is marked "in process," reach out to use and we can help verify whether your coverage might be accepted soon or whether an interim arrangement may work.
If your insurance is not listed or is still in process, don't worry- we offer private pay (self-pay) options. For clients without in-network coverage, this route offers flexibility, privacy, and control over your care. You may also be eligible for partial reimbursement through your insurance via a superbill (clients can submit this to their insurer for out-of-network benefits). While we can't guarantee reimbursement, many clients receive at least partial coverage.
We aim to be transparent, responsive, and supportive. If you're unsure whether your insurance plan is accepted, please contact us and we'll help you clarify.
